At first glance, Cognizant appears as a luminous swirl of purples, pinks, and blues — a dreamlike abstraction. But as the eye lingers, a form begins to emerge: from the lower left corner, the contours of a neck, skull, and face come into focus, rendered in soft profile. This figure — the thinker — is so deeply merged with the background that they seem almost dissolved into their own inner world.
The indistinct edges and painterly blending invite us to question what is real and what is perceived.
